Health Insurance

Health insurance is a social security program that was previously administered by the National Social Security Institute and funded by a 2% contribution of gross wages paid by the employer.

Established “pending the implementation of a health insurance system (Art. 36(2) CPS),” the program was transferred to the National Health Insurance Fund following the introduction of Mandatory Health Insurance (AMO) by Law 09-015 of June 26, 2009.

Despite the uncertainties surrounding the AMO—whose enrollment has been made more or less optional—the employer’s obligation to provide medical coverage for their workers remains in effect under Article 36 of the Social Security Code.

APPM offers its services to employers concerned about the health of their employees to help them establish an effective and affordable health insurance program.

The plan we design is structured on two levels

- A general plan covering outpatient care and hospitalizations in public health facilities, with reimbursement for essential medications.

- A supplemental plan for all or part of the staff covering care, hospitalizations, and medications not covered by the general plan.
