Social protection is the primary non-financial motivator for employees. In Mali, it is established by Law No. 99-041 on the Social Security Code and Law No. 09-015 on Health Insurance.

These laws cover four social protection programs for all employers in Mali

  1. Pensions due to reaching retirement age, permanent disability, or death,
  2. Workplace accidents and occupational diseases,
  3. Protection against illness,
  4. Family benefits,
